Santiago Luna
Celebrating Queen’s Drummer, Santiago Luna, hails from Hollywood, California, and resides in Las Vegas, Nevada, the entertainment capital of the world! Santiago Luna brings great energy to the Celebrating Queen rhythm section. The key to having a great sound is having a great rhythm section and Santi, as he is known in the band, certainly brings the power, precision, and flair that the music of Queen warrants. He has performed in many Las Vegas favorites including “Under” and “Cherreys”.
Santiagos’ influences include Intronaut, Mastodon, Tool, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Led Zeppelin, Karnivool, Meshuggah, Animals As Leaders, Pearl Jam, Incubus, STP, Alice In Chains, Primus, and many others.
Santi brings his percussion and rhythm abilities to take the art of performing Queen music to new heights. Some of the Queen songs which have some of the best drumming parts include Now I’m Here, You’re My Best Friend, Tie Your Mother Down, and Somebody to Love to name but a few. Roger Taylor never really wrote many easy-to-play drum parts, and very often wrote his drum riffs to mirror the vocal lines of the songs. So we hope you will hear Santi channeling his inner Roger Taylor at our concerts.
Santi also is very interested in other forms of creative art including paintings and other mixed medium works. Celebrating Queen and the strong rhythm section driven by Santiago Luna will definitely rock you!
